  • Single Axle Dump Trucks: This equipment is used primarily to haul the smaller loads between one cubic yard and six cubic yards. The shorter wheel base truck at 155 inches makes it easier to maneuver in small tight areas. However, the overall length of the truck at 19 feet, still prevent it from having access to some areas.
  • Tandem Axle Dump Trucks: This truck can haul twice as much as the Single Axle Dump Truck, from one cubic yard to 12 cubic yards. It has a longer wheel base of 188 inches and the overall length of this truck is approximately 23-25 feet. This prevents the truck from accessing some areas.
  • Semi-Tractor Dump Trailers: This truck can haul twice as much as the Tandem Axle Dump Truck and four times as much as the Single Axle Dump Truck. However, due to the size and weight of this type of truck and trailer unit, it is nearly impossible for it to access a residential area and has some limitations in commercial settings. A semi end dump is a tractor-trailer combination wherein the trailer itself contains the hydraulic hoist. A typical Semi-Tractor dump Trailer has a 3-axle tractor pulling a 2-axle semi-trailer. The key advantage of a Semi-Tractor dump Trailer is rapid unloading. A key disadvantage is that they are very unstable when raised in the dumping position limiting their use in many applications where the dumping location is uneven or off level. Also due to the length of the Semi-Tractor dump Trailer, the turning radius is much wider than a smaller truck. Other concerns about dumping this trailer and even the smaller trucks, is the danger of overhead power lines. Some situations make it impossible for trucks to dump under these conditions.
  • Belly Dump Trailers: This truck is almost always used for construction projects. They are specially designed to bring soil or gravel to a job site in a high volume manner. These dump trucks allow the driver to lay material in wind-rows without leaving the cab or stopping the truck. Belly Dumps can also be used to haul hot mix asphalt and large stones. Each trailer can be set to allow a certain portion of the product to flow from the gate. This is typically done when the load needs to be spread over a long distance.
  • Flatbed Trailers: This is a 2-axle trailer used to haul Freight, Equipment or Bagged products. This trailer does not have sides or top. Most
loads can be covered by a tarp or net. Some Flatbeds have spread-axles to help distribute the weight of the load over
    each axle.

Delivery Note: All of our trucks are 8 feet wide, 10 feet including mirrors, their length varies based on the wheel base, but as a rule, the larger the truck, the greater the turning radius. Be sure to review the size and accessibility of your delivery area when you place your order.
