Full Time Diesel Mechanic $25-$30

Hours: Normal work shift and on Saturday as needed.
Job Description
Job requires at least 3 years of medium/heavy truck maintenance experience. Ability to use factory level computer diagnostic software and data systems, diagnostic tools to analyze on board computer systems to accurately diagnose driver and company complaints. Diagnostic computer provided by company. Must have your own SAE and Metric hand, air impact and battery-powered tools. Larger than normal oversized tools and equipment provided by company. Lift equipment provided by company.
Requirements
- Able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electronic and electrical systems including electronically controlled engines, transmissions and fuel systems.
- Able to diagnose, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Able to make minor and in-house repairs to truck, trailers and heavy equipment.
- Engine work NOT required, but helpful.
- Capable of performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and electronic engines Knowledge of Mack, Volvo, CAT, International, Detroit and Cummins engines.
- Conduct routine and annual inspections, preventive maintenance on all vehicles.
- Adhering to all safety practices while working and perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Some welding and fabrication is a plus, but not required Must be able to keep shop and maintenance area organized. Must be capable of working alone or with a helper. Must be dependable and physically capable of performing assigned tasks. Larger than normal oversized tools and equipment provided by company. Lift equipment provided by company.
- Must work clean and organized.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Capable of reading, speaking and writing English.
- Must be able to record and keep records of repairs and maintenance.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from facility.
- Ability to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/rainy weather.
